The mixed print trend isn't going anywhere for now, which make me happy. I love the almost chaos of mixed print outfits. But how do you wear mixed prints at work if you're in a more professional setting? My tip is to stay within a narrow color scheme, especially with at least one neutral color. In this case the color scheme is light blue, black and white/offwhite.
Why It Works as Pin Up Plus Size Workwear
The two most noticable mixed prints are the black circle print faux wrap dress and the canvas butterfly print loafers. Since both are in black, that works. The leopard print blue hair rosette, plastic rectangle bead bracelet and vintage handmade bead chocker necklace all have the same color family of light blue as the tank top and sash, so even though they kind of clash in their colors, they're tied together by their feature color and the tank top and scarf as sash.
To make this a sexy plus size pin up outfit, I would wear it without a tank top underneath and with a very sturdy bra. That makes it quite "oo la la!" However with a tank top worn as a camisole, it is totally appropriate for work.

This is actually a faux wrap dress and I got it grom a thrift store a long time ago. Though I can't remember if it's from Maine or Mass. The sash is also a a thrift store purchase from the Bangor Goodwill, that I bought a long time ago. It can be worn as a scarf or, this case, as a sash. The shoes were on clearance at Target. The hair rosette was $2 at Family Dollar. It's one of my favorites.
