Everyday Pinup Style Outfit for Work with Fuchsia Top and Brown Thrift Store Skirt
I bought that cute J. Jill skirt at Bloomin' Deals thrift store on Freret St in New Orleans. It's a neutral taupe with brown trim. The floral embroidery has pale green and bright fuchsia purple so I wore a fuchsia patterned long sleeve top from Target to go with it. The rose print legging in black and brown are also from Target.
How the Mixed Patterns of Skirt, Leggings and Top "Work" for a Pinup Style Work Outfit
There's lots of patterns in this outfit but all of the colors coordinate, which keeps it from getting too "crazy" for work. I wore a simple brown headband and a purple rosette for my hair. I'm not sure I love the regular-width belt for this outfit. The neutral brown color is right, but I need to find a thick dark brown buckle belt, I think. The clasp elastic band one I tried on beforehand was to tight for the loose waist of the skirt and looked awkward. Yay! I have a reason to go shopping again!
